MIRROR LAKE – Community members should get their cowboy boots ready for the annual Cowboy Ball to benefit Granite State Adaptive. The evening will feature live music from the Eric Grant Band, BBQ dinner, cash bar, impressive silent auction, giveaway tree and selfie station with prizes.
The event will take place Thursday, June 23 at The Inn on Main Barn, 200 N. Main St., Wolfeboro. After two years without being able to organize the event, Granite State Adaptive is looking forward to reuniting with its supporters to celebrate the cause.
“We are very excited about our Cowboy Ball event,” said Jen Fraser, Founder and Executive Director of Granite State Adaptive. “Our annual fundraiser helps us purchase specialized equipment, provide scholarships and maintain our therapy horses.”
Granite State Adaptive provides people with disabilities, at-risk youth and veterans the opportunity to develop their independence, confidence, life skills and physical fitness through participation in sports, therapy, training and recreation programs. “We provide year-round adaptive sports opportunities with cycling, snow sports and horse-assisted activities and therapy,” Fraser said. “Educating our veterans and their families is an ongoing priority. »
