Ava Phillippe Goes Grunge in Louis Vuitton Cutout Boots at Expo Party – Footwear News
Ava Phillippe strolled the nervous side for the opening night of Louis Vuitton’s “200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries” exhibit in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Thursday night.
The social media influencer – and daughter of Reese Witherspoon – arrived at the event in a pair of high-waisted black cropped shorts and a white tank top. Giving her outfit an edge was a black waistcoat with a pointed hem, as well as ornate gold and black embroidery and swirl buckle closures. However, Phillippe wasn’t the first star to wear the vest; “Squid Game” actress HoYeon Jung also donned the piece on the Gotham Awards red carpet in November 2021. Her look was complete with a thin bracelet and rings.
When it comes to footwear, Phillippe opted for one of Vuitton’s most recent models: the Moonlight boot. The 22-year-old student slipped into a low-heel style ensemble, which featured black leather uppers in an ankle-length silhouette. The peep-toe ensemble was completed with rounded soles accented by raised padded soles lined with silver zippers, as well as slim cut-outs at the front and buckled ankle straps.
The 200 trunks, 200 visionaries of Louis Vuitton: the exhibition presents 200 of the brand’s emblematic monogrammed trunks, each designed by athletes, actors, designers and other public figures – including Gloria Steinem, Nigo, BTS and the Simpson – to celebrate the end The 200th anniversary of Monsieur Vuitton. The brand also hosted the traveling exhibit’s opening party in Beverly Hills, ahead of its future US stops this year; the Hills venue is open to the public until September 6. DJ’d from Bobby French, MIA and Lola Langusta, guests at the event included Emma Chamberlain, Jaden Smith, Nina Dobrev and Iris Apatow, among many others. Vuitton also hosted a simultaneous cocktail party at the Hamptons in New York to open its latest studio on Shelter Island, attended by Lauren Santo Domingo, Alexander Roth and Sophia Roe.
