Beth Phoenix: I’m not done lacing the boots forever
Beth Phoenix has yet to end her in-ring career.
Phoenix, who is on the NXT commentary squad, has not wrestled since appearing at the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble. Despite being inactive, many current wrestlers have turned to a game against the Hall of Famer.
Speaking to Renee Paquette about the oral sessions, Phoenix says she has yet to close this chapter of her career.
“I am (medically authorized)” she declared. “Once a wrestler, always a wrestler. I’m not going to lie about it. I feel like you can’t do this and you want to do this all your life without having this little bug. happy to be in the conversation of today’s stars would look forward to dealing with it. When I left WWE, I felt really insignificant and like I hadn’t done anything. Like I didn’t. hadn’t moved the needle. I felt so sad about that part but okay to move on. Now I’m getting this wonderful recognition from women today and it makes me feel good. Okay. As for getting back into the ring, I say this in every interview, “never say never.” If the right opportunity came up and I could do business, that’s all I care about. Would I love to have a retirement game, a big farewell, and give someone the top five and pass the torch? n blood yes, but there is only a limited number of people I could do this for where like in the comments I can do it for two hours every week. Every week I can tell you how awesome Indi Hartwell is and say ‘watch Shotzi Blackheart upgrades’ and help all the weekly talent on the comments. In this regard, I like the comments because I feel like I am contributing in a positive way. The stuff in the ring, I don’t know what the future holds. I do not erase anything or close doors. If there was something WWE was interested in, I’d like to say goodbye and say hello to someone and give them the approval of a Hall of Famer. Who wants to withdraw a Hall of Famer? “
Phoenix didn’t give a specific name when in a hurry, but said: “I have a feeling that there is someone who will end up passing to the other side of the ring at some point. I don’t want to give any clues about it, but I don’t think Beth Phoenix is done lacing his boots forever. Okay. Now with Adam’s current position I have played a supporting role and luckily it helps him to have a wife he can slam. I’ve been in the ring and put my energy into it. I have personal goals and I know time is running out on this stuff. There have been little conversations here and there. “
It is not known when or if Phoenix will return to the ring. She teamed up with Natalya for her comeback in 2019, which included a match at WrestleMania 35, but hasn’t wrestled a singles match since 2012.
