Desperate hunt for ‘disoriented’ Glasgow retiree who disappeared in Storm Barra
A desperate search has been launched to locate a ‘disoriented’ Glasgow pensioner who disappeared overnight during Storm Barra.
Rose Armstrong, 72, disappeared from Kelso Street in Yoker around 4 p.m. yesterday and her whereabouts are unknown.
OLHI is believed to have planned to return to her Summerston home – but she did not.
A member of the public may have spotted her around 11 p.m. in Carnwath in South Lanarkshire.
They showed him how to get back to Glasgow and told him to drive towards Carluke to find his way home.
Rose has no connection to the South Lanarkshire area and police fear she got lost while driving.
Cops looking for her say it is “out of character” for the 72-year-old not to contact her family and they are increasingly concerned for her well-being.
Officers urged anyone who saw her to come forward and help them with their investigations.

She was last seen wearing a River Island jacket, black leggings, and possibly black Ugg boots.
Maryhill Police Station Sergeant Adrian Moore said: “Rose has been missing for several hours now, this is completely unusual for her and her family are understandably worried.
