Former Sunrise presenter Sam Armytage has received a lot of praise after a photo of her with “white hair” was shared online.

But the 44-year-old set the record straight about her blonde tresses by speaking to KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday.

Sam said she spent a lot of money with her hairdresser to keep her hair blonde and blame the photo on an optical illusion.

“I always pay my beautiful hairdresser a fortune to make me blonde,” Sam said, explaining that it was just the “filter” she put on the image.

“I don’t know what happened that day but I’m blonde.”

Jackie said that as a blonde coworker she knew it was just an optical illusion that blondes often have issues with filters.

Always blonde!

Always blonde! “I always pay my beautiful hairdresser a fortune to make me blonde,” Sam said, explaining that it was just the “filter” she put on the image.

“Absolutely,” Sam agreed. “I remember at school, when I was sideways blonde when I was young, people would tease you and say your hair is gray.”

Sam went on to say that her husband Rich took the photo and it was supposed to show the dog, but everyone was only interested in his hair.

The former Channel Seven star received praise this weekend when she shared an Instagram account of herself with what appeared to be white hair.

Her supporters flocked to Facebook to comment on her appearance in the viral photo, with one writing: “She’s even more beautiful now.”

Another added: “I’m just releasing the silver fox, that’s good for her.”

Others said Samantha was “beautiful” and “gorgeous” with white hair.

“Yeah nah, still blonde”: Sam confirmed on Sunday that she doesn’t have white hair after all, uploading a selfie to Instagram Stories as she lay in bed with her blonde locks exposed

‘Of course her. Happy to have been able to retire when she was still young and able to enjoy what she has in her life. You never know what’s around the corner. I love her hair, ”wrote one fan.

Samantha, 44, shared a photo on Saturday of herself lounging on the sofa and watching TV with her beloved dog Banjo.

She looked almost unrecognizable from her days on Seven’s breakfast show, with her hair appearing in a natural shade of white instead of blonde.

Sam also kept things comfortable with a pair of black leggings, a gray wool sweater, and a pair of Ugg boots.

However, Sam confirmed on Sunday that she doesn’t have white hair after all, uploading a selfie to Instagram Stories as she lay in bed with her blonde locks exposed.

“Yeah no … still blonde,” she captioned the photo, adding laughing emojis.
