Gone are the days when boots were a cold weather staple. Celebrities are proving the hottest styles can be worn all year round. Example: Shakira’s latest look. The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer was spotted out in Spain in a breezy summer mini dress, which she paired with western boots.

The Colombian superstar pleaded for the hot season in a pink print dress. The lightweight separate had a deep V-neckline, long flowing sleeves and a ruffled hem. Shakira added the perfect accessory to her look: pink aviator sunglasses and tied a beige shoulder bag around her. Sticking to a casual vibe, she opted for minimal makeup and let her long, shiny locs cascade over her shoulders.

As for the shoes, the “Waka Waka” singer donned a pair of brown western boots. The ankle-length style had a pointed toe, stacked block heel, and featured an allover white pattern. Often made of leather, cowboy boots have a shaft that extends almost to the mid-calf of the wearer. This style of boot often features artistic inlays and overlays as decorative elements on the upper and on the vamp. Although the style is still associated with the West, it often became popular throughout the 1900s and into the modern era.

Shakira’s shoe style ranges from athletic to sleek. On the red carpet, the “Te Felicito” artist opts for sandals, rounded and peep-toe pumps with chunky platform soles and towering stilettos, from major brands like Sergio Rossi, Christian Louboutin and Versace. Its casual ensembles include boots, wedges and equally daring strappy sandals from Saint Laurent, Prada and Esquivel. Shakira can also be spotted in sports sneakers from Premiata, Nike and Asics.
