Supreme Timberland Yankees Boots Ready for a Very New York Winter

After releasing a collection in the spring, Supreme and Timberland return with a new boot that screams New York.
The two collaborators and sister companies under the aegis of VF Corp. come together on a New York Yankees field boot made from premium materials. Waterproof nubuck is used in red, black or brown on the upper, as well as a full print of the Yankees logo in jacquard canvas on the side panels and tongue in beige, gray or blue, respectively.
For New Yorkers, Timbs are begging to be worn shouting “yerrrrr” to resonate in the streets. The shoes might not get as much publicity as some of Supreme’s more famous Nike collaborations, but they’re a satisfying adherence to a symbol that stands for more than just a baseball team.
There is also a parka – A Yankees Gore-Tex parka with 700 down insulation will be released as a rare online exclusive. Covered in patches from several of the 27 Yankees World Series titles, the hoodie will be available in a vibrant red or the team’s signature shade of blue.
The latter option invokes Spike Lee’s 1996 World Series red Yankees hat, which marked the first time New Era has made a cap that deviates from the team’s official colors. From there, the floodgates were opened for an abundance of illegal designs – arguably making the director even more influential in the headgear game than he is in the movie.
As always, Supreme’s Timberland boots will release as part of its weekly release at 11 a.m. ET on Thursday, December 30, both on its website and in physical stores. The site will also be the only place to unload the Yankees parka, which could very well be the result of shipping or manufacturing delays that have been well documented thanks to COVID. This arrangement might see fewer jackets popping up in New York City than usual, but New Yorkers still seem to find a way.
